Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Department of Safety's Driver License Testing Station in Murfreesboro will remain closed on Wednesday, September 14th, while repairs are made to the building. It was damaged this morning when a man taking a test for a driver license accidentally crashed a car into the structure.
Two customers in the station's waiting area were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. One driver license employee were also taken to the doctor. Osman Salah, 25, of Nashville, was behind the wheel of the car that crashed. He has not been charged.
Local codes inspectors have declared the building structurally sound, but repairs must be made to the waiting area before the station can re-open. Repairs will begin Wednesday. Driver license examiners assigned to the Murfreesboro station will work at other offices while the Murfreesboro location is closed. The Department hopes to re-open the station within a day or two.
