In Tennessee, there were three fatal crashes resulting in three deaths, yielding a fatality rate of one death per 18 hours.
None of the fatalities occurred in alcohol-related accidents.
All three fatalities were vehicle occupants.

In 1963, one person was killed in Tennessee traffic crashes during the 30-hour Christmas holiday period, yielding a fatality rate of one death per 30 hours.
The 2005 Christmas holiday period will begin 6 p.m. Friday, December 23 and continue until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, December 26. This will be a 78-hour holiday period.
