Notice of February 11, 2014, Review of November 12, 2012, rulemaking hearing regarding funeral rules pending before the Attorney General and Discussion of Removal Services Rules

Pursuant to Tenn. Code. Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession. The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, Division of Regulatory Boards, Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers, will discuss funeral rules that are pending before the Attorney General and were approved during a rulemaking hearing on November 12, 2012, and Removal Service Rules on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in Conference Room 1-B of the Davy Crockett Tower, 500 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, Tennessee 37243, at 10:00 AM, CST. The Board will discuss previously-adopted rules regarding reciprocal licenses and requirements for crematories as well as reviewing rules previously-approved for a rulemaking hearing regarding initial registration application fees, registration renewal fees, and minimum insurance coverage for removal services.

In compliance with the Tennessee Open Meetings Act, compiled at Tenn. Code Ann. § 8-44-101 et seq., the above-referenced meeting is open to the public.
