Description

This eight-hour program is designed for all general departmental instructors and training officers.  All chiefs, sheriffs and anyone who has responsibility of submitting paperwork to P.O.S.T. are encouraged to attend.  During this eight-hour block all new changes that went into effect in 2010 will be discussed.  Each chapter will be reviewed and the new changes to that chapter will be highlighted.  We will also explain all the forms and how to submit them to P.O.S.T.  Full-time certified officers who attend will receive a P.O.S.T. certificate and can apply the hours toward in-service.  P.O.S.T. Rules 1110-4-.03 requires all General Department Instructors to attend this course on an annual basis.

Materials

Officers need to bring their 2010 POST Rules book to this class.  If you do not have a 2010 POST Rules book, you can go to www.tn.gov/sos/rules/1110/1110.htm and print a copy.

Training Officers are encouraged to bring problems they are having regarding paperwork to be discussed in an open forum with other training officers.
