Brian Grisham
Bio:
Brian Grisham, Esq. has been Director of the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA) and Executive Secretary of the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission since April 2005. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Director since 1997. He has served as assistant to the commissioner and staff attorney for the Tennessee Department of Safety.
Grisham received his law degree from the Nashville School of Law in 1989 and his B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University in 1984. His law enforcement experience includes service with the Department of Safety’s Criminal Investigations Division and MTSU Police Department. He has been a licensed attorney since 1989 and has training certifications in criminal law, firearms instruction, asset forfeiture, police management, and courtroom security.
In addition to instructional and administrative duties at the academy, he has served as an investigator and legal advisor to the P.O.S.T. Commission. Outside of these departmental duties, serves as a member of the Tennessee Public Safety Network providing training and critical incident stress debriefing and peer support and is an advisory board member of CrimeStoppers of Nashville.
He is a graduate of the Tennessee Government Executive Institute and the FBI National Law Institute. In 2011, Grisham was appointed to the Governor’s Subcabinet for Public Safety.

Mr. Hall is a 24-year police veteran who is employed as a full time instructor at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in Nashville, TN. He began his career in 1986 at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation where he was assigned to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. As a Special Agent, he worked cases relating to Medicaid Fraud, patient abuse, and drug diversion by Medicaid providers.
In 1990, he left the TBI and went to work for Business Risk International. As a Corporate Security Consultant for BRI, he investigated employee theft, narcotics, embezzlement, and fraud for numerous fortune 500 companies. He was also responsible for BRI’s electronic countermeasures program.
In 1991, he returned to State Law Enforcement as a Special Agent for the Tennessee Department of Revenue. As a Special Agent, he conducted investigations of taxpayers in violation of the Tennessee Sales and Use Tax Laws relating to sales tax, gambling, and narcotics. He was assigned to the Governor’s Task Force on Marijuana Eradication for (3) years and assisted with numerous drug task force investigations during his employment with TDR. He was also a departmental firearms and defensive tactics instructor.
In 1997, Mr. Hall gained employment with the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy as a full time instructor.
