Description

Officers will be introduced to Tactical situations involving their motors, day and night shooting situations, known and unknown risk traffic stops, escort procedures, emergency cover situations, advanced riding techniques, and advanced cone patterns.  Simunitions will be utilized in this training to produce as close to life-like situations as possible.  Officers attending this training should be prepared for a week of intense training with their motorcycle.

Prerequisites

This training is designed for experienced motorcycle officers previously certified on a recognized police motor officer course.

Materials

All gear worn on duty when on the motorcycle, including gun belt with duty holster, duty weapon, vest, duty motorcycle, rain gear, DOT helmet (quick release chin strap recommended), safety glasses, long sleeve shirt or jacket, full-fingered gloves, long pants, over the ankle boots, and three hundred (300) rounds of ammunition.

 

Extra sweatshirts, vest and extra pants are recommended for Simunitions and range portions.

Other Notes

Maximum number of students if 16

 

There will be classes at night during the week.  All participants must be prepared for after dark riding and night fire exercises.
