STATE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD TO MEET
SEPTEMBER 9TH IN JOHNSON CITY
NASHVILLE – Tennessee’s State Workforce Development Board will meet on Friday, September 9, 2005, at the Holiday Inn, located at 101 West Springbrook Drive in Johnson City, Tennessee. The meeting will be held from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
The Workforce Development Board oversees the state’s Workforce Investment Act program delivered through the Tennessee Career Center System. Services provided include a wide range of job training and employment services for adults, youth, and dislocated workers. Topics of discussion will include updates from the Workforce Marketing and Planning Committees as well as Labor Market Information and Initiatives in the local area.
Individuals with disabilities who wish to participate in the meeting should contact the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development to discuss auxiliary aids or other services needed to facilitate such participation.
