THREE COMPANIES RECEIVE GOVERNOR’S SAFETY AWARD

COMPANIES RECOGNIZED AT TOSHA SAFETY CONFERENCE

NASHVILLE – Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner James Neeley presented the Governor’s Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety and Health to three companies today at the 29th annual Tennessee Safety and Health Congress and Exposition held at the Opryland Convention Center in Nashville.

“To have earned the Governor’s Award represents a significant accomplishment in workplace safety for these four companies,” said Neeley. “The companies’ employees have paid special attention to safety and health concerns, as the award requirements are challenging.”

The Governor’s Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety and Health is given to Tennessee employers whose employees work a certain number of hours without having an injury resulting in days away from work. The number of hours required is based on the size of the company.
