Edwina Reeder named manager of Middle Tennessee Career Center-Wilson County
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development announces the promotion of Edwina Reeder to manager of the Middle Tennessee Career Center-Wilson County in Lebanon. The Career Center is located at 813 North Cumberland Street.
Edwina is a veteran Labor & Workforce Development employee, beginning her career with the department in 1971. She worked in the TOSHA Division and has been employed in the Employment Security Division of the department in the Lebanon office since 1975. Prior to her appointment as manager for the office, she was the interviewing supervisor. A native of Wilson County, she is a graduate of Cumberland University and has done graduate work at MTSU and TSU.
“I’m pleased to take over the managerial responsibilities for the office,” said Edwina. “We hope to strengthen our current employer base as well as increase the number of employers listing jobs with the department and make more businesses aware of the services we can provide.”
Edwina replaces James Hendrixson, longtime manager of the Lebanon office who died this past April.
The Middle Tennessee Career Center-Wilson County offers job assistance to both job seekers and employers. They offer free use of phones, fax, and copy machines and computers with Internet access and library information for job seekers. The staff in the office can help employers find qualified employees through pre-screening and assessment and provides access to labor market information. The office also provides services to veterans and those looking for a GED.
