Two join staff of West Tennessee Career Center in Paris
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development announces the addition of two interviewers to the West Tennessee Career Center in Paris: John Lankford and John Penn Ridgeway. John joined the staff July 1 and John Penn formerly worked for the agency and returned August 1.
John Lankford was a bill clerk for the Tennessee House of Representatives prior to beginning employment at the Career Center. He has also served as a legislative intern with the Tennessee House Education Committee. A 2004 graduate of UT-Martin, he is a Henry County native and lifelong resident, the son of Joe and Glenda Lankford.
In addition to previous employment with the department, John Penn Ridgeway has worked as a legislative assistant in Congressman John Tanner’s Washington and Union City offices and as deputy clerk in Henry County Clerk Jerry Bomar’s office. Also a graduate of UT-Martin and a native of Henry County, he is married to the former Melissa French and has two sons.
“We’re pleased to have John Lankford join our staff and to welcome back John Penn Ridgeway. They’re both well known in the community and will enhance our mission to strengthen our current employer base. We aim to make more employers aware of our services and to increase our job listings,” said Career Center manager Jane Gibson.
