Bridgestone Metalpha to Receive Workplace Safety Award

NASHVILLE - Bridgestone Metalpha USA Inc. (BMU) will receive the Commissioner’s Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety and Health on Thursday, February 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. (CST). The ceremony will take place at the facility located at 570 International Blvd., in Clarksville. Bridgestone Metalpha employs 365 people in the manufacture of tire cord. The Commissioner’s Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety and Health is given to Tennessee employers whose employees work a certain number of hours without having an injury resulting in days away from work.
