H&O TOOL AND DIE COMPANY INC., RECEIVES GOVERNOR’S SAFETY AWARD

NASHVILLE - Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner James Neeley announced that H&O Tool and Die Company Inc., in Union City will receive the Governor’s Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety for the second consecutive year.
“H&O Tool and Die’s safety record reflects their dedication to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace,” said James Neeley, Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, who presented the Governor’s Award of Excellence to the company today at the company’s facility at 620 W. Cheatham Street. “The company achieved a remarkable safety record in order to meet the high standards this award requires.”
The Governor’s Award honors Tennessee employers and employees who meet a required number of hours during a calendar year without workplace injuries serious enough to cause an employee to miss a day of work or restrict normal job activities. The number of hours required is based on the size of the company.
H&O Tool and Die is an aluminum stamping operation employing 28 workers. The facility has operated over 103,000 man hours without a lost time or restricted duty incident. This injury free record dates back to November 2005.
