10 AREA COMPANIES RECOGNIZED FOR INCUMBENT WORKER TRAINING
NASHVILLE – Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development (TDLWD) Commissioner James Neeley will be in Jackson, Tennessee today, Friday, August 4 to recognize 10 area companies for participating in the state’s Incumbent Worker Training program. Neeley will speak at a luncheon at Barnhill’s Country Buffet at 660 Carriage House Drive and present certificates to the companies. The Incumbent Worker Training Grants help Tennessee companies avoid downsizing and keep jobs in the state. Close to $2 million in Incumbent Worker Training Grants was awarded in 2005 benefiting almost 10,000 Tennessee workers.
