	To be eligible for Families First benefits, the assistance unit’s total countable resources must be less than $2000 at the time of application and reapplication (renewal). When determining the total countable resource amount, the caseworker will use the equity value of the resource. The equity value is determined by subtracting the amount of encumbrances from the fair market value of the resource.	Glossary
