| Description |
This course is designed to provide the firefighter and fire officer with the training necessary to become competent in fire origin and cause determination that is part of a fire officer's state mandated responsibility.
Firefighters and/or fire officers should be able to: determine the origin of the fire, make the proper classification of the cause, documentation of the findings, and notification to the local agency responsible for criminal investigations.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to conduct fire investigations, and preserve and document the scene with a minimum of equipment and manpower. |
