| Description |
This course is designed to meet the needs of fire officers and crew leaders with management
responsibilities of one or more companies in structural firefighting operations and is composed of two
course modules. Module One is based on the National Fire Academy’s -Managing Company Tactical
Operations (MCTO): Preparation. Key areas covered in this section are preparation for response,
decision-making, and tactical operations. Module Two is based on the National Fire Academy’s - MCTO:
Decision Making. Key areas covered in this section are command sequences, size-up, developing an
action plan, and introduction to the incident command system. The course meets selected requirements of
NFPA 1021: Fire Officer Professional Qualifications. |
