Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin. All recipients of federal funding are subject to the provisions of Title VI. Regulations governing Title VI compliance require that OCJP subrecipients provide periodic civil rights training for all employees.
The Office of Criminal Justice Programs, in order to improve compliance with Title VI, is requiring that all grant Project Directors complete civil rights training. Please see the links below to review the Memo from OCJP regarding this requirement, and link to training materials. The Title VI Compliance Training Quiz must be completed by all grant Project Directors. Upon completion of the quiz you will be directed to a certificate to be printed and saved for your records.
