The Tennessee Health Information Committee, charged by statute with guiding the development and use of the All Payer Claims Database, held its first meeting on September 15. The Committee heard a presentation from Jeff Ockerman, Director of Health Planning, on the purposes and possible uses of an all payer claims database. The Committee also reviewed its statutory responsibilities and established subcommittees to help carry out its work.
