Governor Bredesen has approved and adopted the 2009 Tennessee State Health Plan. The Plan establishes Five Principles for Achieving Better Health and outlines a public process for developing goals and strategies over the next year. Click here to read the State Health Plan.
The State Health Plan also rewrites Certificate of Need standards and criteria for positron emission tomography (PET) and cardiac catheterization services. These standards and criteria are effective immediately for all such applications that have not yet been deemed complete by the Health Services Development Agency. Future editions of the State Health Plan will update other areas of Certificate of Need.
