Comment Period Extended on Proposed Changes to Wet Weather Conveyance and Animal Feeding Operation Rules: Rule Chapters 0400-17-01 through 04, 1200-04-03 through 05, 1200-04-05-02 and 05-14; and 1200-04-07-03 and 07-04.
» In response to a request received, the comment period on this package of proposed new rules and rule amendments has been extended from December 7, 2009 to January 22, 2010.
» Chapter 0400-04-17 consists of new rules that pertain to the certification of hydrologic professionals and the requirements for wet weather conveyance determinations.
» The revisions to Chapters 1200-04-03 and 1200-04-07 also pertain to wet weather conveyances.
» The revisions to Chapter 1200-04-05 pertain to the rules governing animal feeding operations.

The Division maintains lists of current public notices of permit applications, draft permits, public hearings, and rule-making activities. Public comment and participation are encouraged on all of these issues. Comments on any issue are welcome at any time and may be made by sending e-mail to ask.tdec@tn.gov.
Anyone wishing to be notified of public notices of permitting decisions, public hearings, and rule-making activities may request to be included on the Division's public notice mailing list.

Permit appeals are heard by the Water Quality Control Board. To be added to the sunshine notice list for Water Quality Control Board meetings, send your email address to James.P.Cromer@tn.gov. The sunshine notice is sent out at least monthly.
