Citizen Water Quality Complaints
Citizens may submit complaints about water quality violations to the department by email, through the mail or by toll-free phone number.
The department provides an online Water Quality Complaint Form that may be used by citizens to submit a complaint about water quality violations. Open this Form, provide requested information and e-mail completed form to ask.tdec@tn.gov.

The department also accepts water quality complaints from citizens through the department’s toll-free phone line at 1-888-891-8332.
Providing and using this form enables the department to respond more efficiently to citizen complaints about potential water quality violations.
