Environmental Consultation Requests at TDEC

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) and its program areas receive frequent requests for environmental consultation, environmental review, or technical assistance on proposed actions and projects from various different groups, including but not limited to federal, state and local government agencies, consulting firms, and businesses.* Such requests can range in terms of level of detail of content and type of information or response requested from the department. At this time, environmental consultation requests are not reviewed and responded to by a central entity. Rather these requests should be submitted individually to each relevant division. Below are documents detailing both process- and content-specific information regarding environmental consultation requests for divisions performing environmental consultation request functions within TDEC.
