Upcoming Events at Tennessee State Parks Division of Archaeology’ 2012 Current Research Meeting is Sat. January 28 at Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville. Tennessee State Parks Running Tour features War Party 10K at Warriors’ Path on Sat., Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. ET. Fort Loudoun (East) hosts History of theCumberland Gap on Sat., Jan. 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET in the Visitor Center as part of their Winter Lecture Series. 8th Annual Reelfoot Lake Eagle Festival at Reelfoot Lake (West) is Feb. 3-5. Eagle Tours have begun at Reelfoot Lake State Park. Buses leave the park's Visitor Center at 10 a.m. CT every day through the end of February. Naturalists join each tour to describe the lake's earth-shaking past and its current status. Tours typically stop at places where eagles are commonly seen, and naturalists set up spotting scopes to allow visitors a closer look. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars, too.
