This program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and was created to advance the use of cars & trucks powered by alternative fuels, and thereby reduce our nation's dependence on imported petroleum. The program promotes the purchase of alternative fuel vehicles (AFV's) and the expansion of the AFV-refueling infrastructure.
