  • Composition of the State of Tennessee Workforce (PDF)
    This information is compiled annually based upon the fiscal year and demonstrates the composition of the State of Tennessee´s workforce by categories established by the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission. A comparative analysis for the previous fiscal year is also included.
  • Tennessee Employees Charitable Campaign
    The State of Tennessee has committed to conducting a workplace giving campaign to benefit over 1,300 charities representing health and medical research, environmental and social justice issues and human service needs that help all Tennesseans.

  • Employee Sick Leave Bank Program
    The Sick Leave Bank Program provides additional sick leave benefits to qualifying members who have exhausted all of their sick, compensatory, and annual leave balances result of a personal illness, injury, disability, medical condition, or quarantine.
  • Employee Suggestion Award Program
    The Employee Suggestion Award Program (ESAP) rewards state employees who submit ideas which help save the state money, time, and/or imporove methods.

  • Job Performance Planning and Evaluation
    The purpose of the Job Performance Planning and Evaluation System is to promote employee development, enhance employee productivity, serve as a basis for sound human resources decisions, and provide a permanent record of the performance of major job duties and responsibilities for employees in the State service.
  • Hiring Freeze Exception Request Form (PDF) (MS Word)
    A hiring freeze is imposed on vacant positions. Exceptions will be allowed in limited areas necessary for the public welfare and for the welfare of persons under care or custody of the state. The hiring freeze does not apply to promotions, demotions, and transfer within an agency, provided that there is no increase in the employee count within the agency as a result of such transactions. Only the HR Director and Appointing Authority within your agency are authorized to sign hiring freeze exception requests prior to submitting to DOHR for review. This form is available either as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF document.
  • Leave Beneficiary Form (PDF)
    In the event of your death while employed, payment of your annual, sick and compensatory balances are paid to the beneficiary listed for your retirement. If you desire to have someone other than the beneficiary of your retirement receive this payment, you must complete this form.

  • Separation Checklist (PDF) (MS Word)
    Place a check mark beside each item that is contained in the folder. Sign, date and file the form in the front of the folder. Please pull all duplicates and computer print-outs.
  • Service Awards
    List of gifts are available for 5, 10, 15, 20, or more years of your service award.
  • Sick Leave Donation Agreement (PDF)
    In order to donate sick leave to a member of the Sick Leave Bank, an employee must complete a form and sent the form to the Department of Human Resources.
