Economic Forecasts for the State of Tennessee
The State Funding Board met on December 14, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. to hear reports discussing projections for the growth in state tax revenues for both fiscal years 2009-10 and 2010-11, and to determine the consensus revenue estimates. Listed below are the presentations of the forecasters.
Lottery Forecast for the State of Tennessee
The State Funding Board also heard reports on the growth in lottery revenues for both fiscal years 2009-10 and 2010-11 as well as growth in the number of scholarships to be funded by lottery revenue. Listed below are the reports of the presenters.
Consensus Revenue Report
The State Funding Board reconvened on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. and on Friday, December 18, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. During these meetings, the State Funding Board reviewed and considered the staff recommendations of the range in the growth of tax revenues, lottery revenues and received requests for additional uses of lottery proceeds. Attached is the letter from the State Funding Board to the Governor and the Chairmen of the Finance, Ways, and Means Committees of each house of the General Assembly advising them of the estimated growth in tax revenues for both fiscal years 2009-10 and 2010-11. Also included are the reports of Estimated Revenues Based on Growth Rates and the Net Lottery Proceeds Estimates which were approved by the State Funding Board on December 18, 2009.
