• The Soil Scientists Advisory Committee will be holding a meeting on Friday, January 27, 2012 beginning at 10:00 am in the 3rd Floor Conference Room of the Andrew Johnson Tower, 710 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, TN.
  
  
• The attached public chapter is effective immediately. Public Chapter 0230 Military Spouse . The law requires all of our regulatory boards to establish a procedure for expediting applications for and issuing temporary licenses to an applicant whose military spouse was transferred to Tennessee.
  
  
• The initial application for licensure as a Soil Scientist in Tennessee is now available on this website under the Forms and Downloads link.
  
  Per Rule 0780-05-06-.04(c), in addtion to meeting our education and experience requirements, applicants must also pass the fundamentals AND professional practice soil science examinations administered by the Council of Soil Science Examiners (CSSE).

• The registration for the exam on November 18, 2011 has closed. The Spring 2012 exam date will be April 20, 2012. The registration period for the Spring exam will be January 23 - March 9, 2012.
