Water Supply and Fire Hydrants
Every community needs an adequate water supply and fire hydrants capable of supplying water for domestic consumption and fire protection. This module will provide the student with a brief overview of a water system, will cover basic TDEC rules and who is responsible for the water system, how to protect the water system from theft and contamination, non-revenue water and water loss, the marking, locating, and spacing of fire hydrants, hydrant specifications and flow testing, and finally fire hydrants and ISO credit.
