Description This eight (8) hour basic to intermediate level comprehensive course will provide first responding officers/investigators with the tools needed to effectively and proficiently investigate interpersonal crimes.  Said tools will include but not be limited to TCA definitions of domestic assault and other pertinent laws, procedures for responding to and investigating interpersonal crimes and the duties required of law enforcement when responding to such calls.  Interpersonal crimes include Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse, Strangulation and Stalking.  Process and procedure for making domestic assault arrests as required by TCA will be discussed.  Additionally, evaluation of injury patterns (defensive vs. offensive) will be covered in detail.
