The purpose of the Roby Fitzgerald Adult Center is to provide a focal point on aging where older persons can come together for services and activities which enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in and with the community.
The Center provides directly and indirectly, health and social services, information and referrals, and recreational and educational programs. Transportation, city and county is provided for age 55 and over to the center and other local trips such as grocery, Social Security, NIRC, Food Bank, doctor, drug store, and others.
Nutrition (FTHRA housed in the Center building) congregate and home delivered meals provided.
The Center contributes to the quality of life for the older population with volunteer opportunities, helping them to stay mentally, emotionally and spiritually focused. The center benefits all providing access to and coordination of services for the elderly, as well a linkage to existing support services which allow older individuals to remain independent and in their homes.
