Feeder Cattle Incentive Program

This program rewards applicants who improve the marketability of their feeder cattle, by offering an incentive for age and source verification and for cattle preconditioned for health and nutrition standards.

Applicants must be enrolled in an approved USDA Age & Source Verified Program & meet State of Tennessee pre-conditioning requirements. Cattle should be sold through an organized
Age & Source Verified Feeder Cattle Sale for the best marketing advantage.
Premises Registration
Application Period: July 1 2008 - June 30, 2009
Basic Applicant Requirements
  1. Premises must be registered with TDA
  2. BQA Certified
  3. Enrolled & approved in USDA Process Verified Program
  1. Supply Substitute W-9
  2. Meet Pre-Conditioning Requirements
Sale by Private Treaty Requirements (All Basic Applicant Requirements plus the following)
  1. Sales receipt listing number of head sold
  2. Proof of USDA Age & Source Verification
  3. Copy of EID numbers
  4. Farm Tag Numbers
  5. Birthdate/Birthdates
  1. Name & address of buyer
