It's almost that time! Tennessee Senior Brain Gamers, are you ready to compete? It's our fifth year, and in case you've forgotten or didn't compete last year: This year you will be working your way toward Jonesborough, Tennessee, where the Jonesborough Olde Towners will be waiting to defend against this year's three regional challengers.

Our Judges (Championship Game)

As everyone who has participated in our previous final games should know, we recruit judges to settle disputes over answers and awarded points. We are happy to announce our first judge for 2017!

Lauren Monahan, Frank Strang Senior Center Director and one-time Ms. Senior Tennessee.Lauren Monahan is currently the director of the Frank Strang Senior Center in Knoxville, TN, where she has enjoyed 18 years working with seniors. She is proud to say she has served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard's 7th District. She recently competed at the Ms. Senior USA Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was third overall in the country. She will advance to the Ms. Senior Universe Pageant in November 2017. Lauren is an organist and singer, and she played scholarship volleyball and basketball at the University of Florida. She was on the trivia team in college, one of the first of its kind. She is married to her husband, Buz, a retired special agent for the FBI.

In the event she is needed, Lauren will participate by phone on Thursday, October 19.
